What is a Dental Emergency?
If you experience a dental emergency, be sure to call our practice as soon as possible. If you need immediate attention after hours, call our emergency phone number and our on-call staff member will help you. If you are unable to reach our office during an emergency, dial 911.
We are here to help you, any time, any day. When your dental health is at risk, we will do everything we can to make sure that you’re treated as soon as possible. While dental emergencies are rare, they can happen, and it’s important to know how to take care of your teeth no matter what. Common dental emergencies include:
Broken or cracked tooth/teeth
Broken jaw
Permanent tooth knocked out
Object caught between teeth
Severe toothache
Meet the Dentists
Dr. Treviño
Dr. Catherine Treviño was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley. She graduated as Valedictorian of Weslaco High School in 2004. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. Before entering dental school, Dr. Treviño obtained a teaching certification and was employed by Weslaco ISD as a 5th grade Science teacher. Dr. Treviño continued her education at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. She worked for several years in the Fort Worth area before moving back to the valley. In her spare time, Dr. Treviño enjoys the outdoors, traveling, attending festivals, and spending time with her husband, family and friends.
Dr. Torres
Dr. Tyler Torres is originally from the North Dallas area, The Colony, Texas. He completed his undergraduate Pre-Dental Biology degree with a double minor in Chemistry and Spanish at The University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. Dr. Torres obtained his doctorate of dental surgery degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Torres practiced for several years in Weatherford, Texas before moving to the valley. In his spare time, Dr. Torres enjoys fishing, reading, art, gaming and spending time with his wife, family and friends.
Dr. Aislen Fox
Dr. Fox originally from Mcallen, is a dentist with additional training in complex dentistry. She uses the latest technology and surgical techniques in cosmetic dentistry, implants, botox therapy for TMJ disorder, and restorative oral dentistry. She has additional certifications in oral and IV sedation, therefore, is able to perform advanced cases. Dr. Fox truly emphasizes listening to her patient's needs and works hard to provide a high level of dental care. She wants her patients to feel comfortable and happy with their results!

Palm Valley Dental, your go-to family dentistry clinic, understands that every patient is different. Our holistic approach to dentistry begins with making sure that you’re comfortable. Our first step is to present solutions to deal with your anxiety so that you are able to receive the treatment without any troubles.
We provide sedation dentistry to ensure you have a comfortable, relaxed dental experience.
Oral Sedation
Oral conscious sedation is ideal for patients with moderate dental anxiety. You will be prescribed a
pill, which you take approximately an hour before your appointment. You’ll feel very relaxed, and
you may not even remember much of the procedure. You will need to be accompanied by a friend
or family member to your appointment, as oral conscious sedation can take several hours to wear
off.
IV Sedation
Intravenous (IV) sedation consists of a sedative administered directly into your bloodstream. IV
sedation is useful for shorter procedures and/or for patients with an extreme fear of the dentist.
Administering the medication directly into your bloodstream means immediate results. You may
feel as if you were asleep during your procedure, and you will need a designated driver, as
grogginess is normal following IV sedation.
